Californian white sage, tightly bound, releases a soft herbaceous smoke when lit — green and resinous, the scent of dry hillsides.
Palo Santo, a naturally aromatic South American wood, burns warm and faintly sweet, with a thread of citrus and pine running through it. A little lasts a long time.
Raw selenite is the piece you keep. Pale and translucent, ridged like frozen light, it catches a low sun and holds it — something to rest the bundles beside, or to leave on a shelf entirely on its own.
