During my teenage years, my body felt like a stranger. Weekly survival mode, monthly hospital visits, debilitating migraines that stole my sight, and seizures became my reality. Despite exploring every medication available, my health continued deteriorating. School attendance dropped to 40% one year, with my twin sister becoming my lifeline, running across school to help during seizures—a gesture that first showed me the power of healing through connection.

By 18, after another disappointing medical appointment, I made a pivotal decision. Tired of taking medication four times daily while still feeling terrible, I chose to explore alternative paths. I began addressing the cascade of side effects—infections, skin issues, digestive problems—recognizing these as symptoms of a compromised system creating endless cycles of dysfunction.

Then Reiki appeared in my life like a gentle whisper. Without prior experience or understanding what it was, I intuitively booked training. This ancient modality cracked something open that conventional medicine alone couldn't touch. Through Reiki, I learned to work with my body rather than against it, developing tools to support my nervous system and navigate challenging days. Most importantly, I remembered what it felt like to believe in my body's capacity to heal.

Seven days before my 21st birthday, I completed my Reiki Master Teacher certification. What began as personal healing transformed into a calling to share this profound practice with others seeking alternatives when conventional medicine isn't enough.
